~It`s All About Pastry~

Pastry is basically dough, made from flour, fat, salt and water that is then rolled out and used as a base, cover or envelope for sweet or savoury fillings. Moreover, pastry is essentially a variety of bread, which in its many forms, is characteristically flaky, tender, crisp, and lightly browned. Therefore, this delicate combination is not easy to achieve. Nevertheless, unlike many other food preparations, pastries are made with precisely measured ingredients, in a time or temperature-sensitive manner, and with an artistic touch.

Besides that, pastry is the various kinds of baked goods such as small cakes, tarts, and other sweet baked goods. However, a good pastry is light, airy and fatty, but firm enough to support the weight of the filling.
